We create environments that improve the lives of people and benefit businesses, communities, and our world.

Our campus, much like design, is rooted within the fabric of the community.

Our campus headquarters has continually evolved as an incubator for design and innovation, and is celebrated as a “living laboratory” for its sustainable design best practices. We believe that inspiration starts from within. We nurture the creative process. We channel the energy of individuals and groups, and celebrate moments when we come together. Our campus supports collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and performance-driven design solutions. For us, design is always a living, breathing thing.

In 2010, the campus of SWT Design joined more than 150 pilot projects from 34 states, as well as from Canada, Iceland, and Spain, chosen by the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES) to test its new 4-star rating system and guidelines for sustainable landscapes. Now revised and administered by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), SITES is used across the globe by designers, developers and policy-makers to align land development and management with innovative design.

In 2012, SWT Design became the first design firm in the world to have its own campus certified by SITES, achieving a 2-star rating for the design and construction of its 1/3-acre campus. An adaptive-reuse method of expansion minimized waste and environmental impacts. Native Missouri plants compose the plant palette, more than 95% of all stormwater is managed on site, and nearly 75% of the campus’s hardscape surfaces are pervious.

"We continually invest in our greatest asset - our people, and bring new and exciting opportunities where we can explore, ideate, and think big. This campus, in many ways, has become a repository for inspiration."
