Chris Sanders Transitions to KCMO

We’ve experienced steady growth in Kansas City since opening our studio in August of 2016.  This growth presents a unique opportunity for Chris Sanders to transition from our St. Louis studio to Kansas City. With collaboration top of mind, Chris will continue to work on projects with our St. Louis studio as needed.

Having earned a Masters of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University, Chris joined our team after working as a conservation specialist in central Kansas (Stafford). His experience in water resource management, hydrogeological research and analysis, and water quality brings an added dimension to our design practice and its measurable benefits.

Since joining SWT Design in 2013, Chris has worked on projects throughout all phases of design in both the public and private sectors, including corporate campuses, parks & recreation, and civic amenities. His recent project experience includes Echo Bluff State Park Master Plan and Implementation; Central Fields Master Plan at Forest Park; the Denny Creek urban stream improvement project for the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; Derby (KS) Parks Master Plan; and the West Florissant Avenue Great Streets Initiative.
